GOODRICH SOCCER ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP
The Goodrich Soccer Alumni Scholarship was established in 2018. The Goodrich Soccer Program and the Goodrich Soccer Alumni are hoping to continue to grow this scholarship in the future. This scholarship is generated by donations from Alumni of Goodrich High School Soccer to benefit one male GHS Varsity Soccer participant. The selection committee is intended to consist of past GHS Alumni Soccer players that have had some part of playing and/or coaching at Goodrich. The winner(s) will split the total donations for the scholarship each year. It is the intent of the Goodrich High School Soccer Program and Alumni to select a candidate that best fits the eligibility criteria listed herein.
SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS & CRITERIA
The applicant must be a Goodrich High School student that has participated on the Goodrich Varsity Soccer Team and been in the Goodrich High School Soccer Program for a minimum of 3 seasons.
Financial need will be a consideration in the selection of the recipient.
Applicant must possess a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Scholarship will be granted for post-secondary education. Monies awarded will be for full-time status only.
This is a non-renewable scholarship. It is a one-time scholarship. Scholarship amounts may vary per year depending on funds.
Applicant intends to participate in the Alumni Soccer Game festivities as a High School player and as an Alumni.
Applicant must have remained in good standing with the team throughout their high school career.
Giving back to the Community helps to build character and strengthen the community where you live and go to school. List and define all acts of community service that were not requirements for any club, organization or school sponsored event.Â
Letter of Recommendation to accompany application that defines the strongest Character Strength that applicant possesses. Letter cannot be from any participant of the selection committee and cannot be from the current GHS Soccer coaching staff.
